1. What do you (or your business) do?
The goal of I Love Real Estate is to serve as a digital mentoring platform, allowing me to communicate the ideas and principles necessary to achieve success as a property investor.
2. How long have you been in business?
I’ve been involved in property investing since 2000, when I attended a seminar hosted by Dr. Dolf de Roos.
3. How do you stay successful in your industry?
While I believe that there are certain overarching principles that ensure a successful strategic approach to investing, I also understand that it is necessary to remain flexible enough to adapt to the subtle changes that occur in any marketplace.
4. Have you ever been to Australia?
Yes, I was born and raised in Central Queensland and attended the Australian National University in Canberra. I lived in Bangkok for some time, but I am now back in Australia and have happily settled on the Sunshine Coast.
- What part of Australia?
I’ve lived all over the country, including everywhere from a small town in Central Queensland to a thriving city like Sydney, but I am quite happy that I now live on the Sunshine Coast.
- What is your favorite restaurant to visit while in Australia?
I actually prefer a good home-cooked meal to anything that could be found at even the most exceptional of Australia’s restaurants.
- What is something someone must-do when in Australia?
Everyone should spend time connecting with nature by taking a nice long hike through the bush, provided, of course, that they go with a guide or understand how to interact with the wildlife they might encounter.
- Would you come back?
My thoughts were often focused on returning to Australia throughout the time I lived in Bangkok, and I am certainly happy to be back home.
- Was it a business or pleasure trip?
I’ve visited every corner of the country at some point or another, and most of my travels throughout Australia have been tied to professional or academic pursuits.
5. What has travel taught you that you have applied in both your personal and business life?
Traveling has taught me to appreciate my home and the lifestyle I have been able to create for myself, but it has also helped to remind me of the importance of remaining open-minded to new ideas and different cultures.
