1. What do you (or your business) do?
There are quite a few projects we are currently working on, including several focusing specifically on issues of digital inclusion as well as the development of innovative marketing solutions designed for utilization within an increasingly digital economy.
2. How long have you been in business?
I’ve been a part of the technology, telecommunications, media, and professional services industry for more than 15 years now. My professional experience also includes over a decade in digital marketing with a particular focus on content, digital, and social media marketing, as well as partnership and sponsorship marketing.
3. How do you stay successful in your industry?
Our industry is deeply influenced by technological trends and innovations, so our success is inexorably linked to our ability to predict future trends before they occur, or at least to recognize emerging trends in the earliest possible stages.
4. Have you ever been to Australia?
Yes, and I spent many years living and working in Sydney and Melbourne.
What part of Australia?
I’ve traveled all over the country and have spent extended periods of time in Melbourne and Sydney.
What is your favorite restaurant to visit while in Australia?
During my years as an undergraduate at the University of Melbourne, I took full advantage of my proximity to both Zio’s and Attica.
What is something someone must-do when in Australia?
I think everyone should try to truly absorb the culture of Australia in one way or another, especially when visiting places like Sydney or Melbourne.
Would you come back?
There are several places in Australia I’d like to re-visit, but there are also a number of places I have not yet had the opportunity to properly explore. Either way, Australia is a wonderful place to live and work, and I’m certain that anyone who visits once will wish to do so again in the future.
Was it a business or pleasure trip?
My Australian travels have been for both business and pleasure.
5. What has travel taught you that you have applied in both your personal and business life?
A broader perspective that considers all the varied viewpoints that exist is necessary in making critical decisions, and traveling is certainly helpful in illuminating perspectives that were previously unknown to the traveler.
